Do you think the human mind could cope with eternal life after death?

Could an unchanged human mind achieve eternal contentment, or everlasting joy, in the infinity of tranquillity or bliss described as heaven? Unless the mind is changed in ways unknown, wouldn't eternal boredom ensue; a fate worse than death perhaps? And if the mind is changed in a way unknown, would the same personality or the same soul exist? Isn't eternal nothingness after death, preferable to heaven?
