I may have ended up in an insane asylum if I were born in an earlier time period... What is the point to life?

If you had no purpose for being on this earth, why were you given the life you were? I dont intend on trying to change your philosophy on life or your beliefs but i do think that everything happens for a reason. Life does have some great meaning and i think you set the standards for that. You set your goals and you know what makes you happy. Seeking those things out and making your self ultimatly happy, that is life. That is success. It doesnt have to come down to jjust reproduction or evolution. There are more immportant things. Why do you love? Why do yu hate? Why do you hurt? Why do you laugh? Why do you help others when they are in need? Why does any one do anything if it is all for nothing? It isnt all for nothing. Death is somthing that is unavoidable. But why let that guide your life and control your decisions. Dont live life according to welll im jsut going to die, there is no result of my actions for future generations You dont need to live for everyone else, i mean yes it would be great to be a positive influence, but essentially life should be lived to your standards. I think there is some purpose for me being on this earth, why else would i be here? I know it isnt simply to die. I mean life shouldnt be looked at like that. I dont know, i mean i find it fascinating that you can change the course of your life with everything you do. Why not take advantage of it and do great things that make you happy? Give your life the meaning you wish to find.
