(UK ONLY) Is it true that doctors just don't want to work?

Its one of the problems you get within country's that have a socialist mindset. The people have no control because they are not actually paying for a service directly. IE: they have a Tendency to put up with a shoddy service because they are under the illusion that it is free. When the money is seen coming out of your bank account in one huge chunk, you tend to get a bit more belligerent and demanding of the service you are paying for......Having said that, even if they were paying directly, The British people are servile to the point of their own destruction I'm afraid. I give you an example. When my wife was in hospital I complained to the nurse in charge that the table they delivered to her bedside was splattered with someone Else's blood, and I made her take it away and get a clean table...... Everyone looked at me as though I was some kind of ungrateful monster.......The British people are the most heavily taxed, and financialy harassed people on the planet. We pay dearly for the service provided. It is certainly NOT free.
