What does "I don't idolize America, I'm dancing with the stars mean"?

The quote is in Lupe Fiasco's song, featuring Matthew Santos, "Shining down". I assume it to mean that he doesn't necessarily like America but he's just going with the flow. He incorporates a lot of political messages into his music and has criticized the US and Israel before so it won't surprise me.
